Argomento molto importante e che ultimamente sbuca fuori spesso è proprio quello della sostenibilità, e Paola Lenti non poteva sicuramente mancare.
La sua attività di continua ricerca sui materiali ha da sempre una costante e particolare attenzione per l’ambiente. Da oltre vent’anni i trattamenti che effettuano sono privi di additivi inquinanti, privilegiando l’utilizzo di materiali riciclati o riciclabili, dei quali spesso rivela l’insospettabile forza espressiva attraverso colori esclusivi e lavorazioni prettamente manuali.

Un concetto concreto di vera sostenibilità si realizza con Aerelle ® blue, con cui vengono realizzate tutte le imbottiture di sedute e cuscini, sia indoor che outdoor. Questo poliestere, frutto di un inedito processo di riciclo, è certificato Ecolabel EU e verificato nella tracciabilità secondo il GRS, Global Recycled Standard. Per realizzare questo nuovo materiale totalmente riciclato, la plastica monouso deve essere raccolta prima che raggiunga i fiumi e gli oceani, successivamente viene pulita, sanificata e lavorata attraverso un moderno processo industriale per ottenere una falda che garantisce imbottiture comode, che mantengono nel tempo forma e consistenza come quelle più tradizionali.

Per le sedute di collezioni più informali, come Float, o i pouf della collezione outdoor, come Berry, Otto e Hopi, nasce invece Lightfill, un’imbottitura realizzata in microsfere di poliolefine espanse, polimeri che possono essere recuperati e rigenerati totalmente attraverso un processo di riciclo meno impattante rispetto a quello di altri materiali.
